Q What areas of the country do TCM cover?
A Our main area of operation is in the South East of England. However, we are expanding into the Midlands, and sometimes carry out specialist decontamination works for various Police Forces throughout the country.
Q How long has Total Contract Maintenance been trading?
A The company was originally registered in September 1950, and then incorporated as a limited company in March 1962.
Q What are the details of insurance cover for Total Contract Maintenance?
A Total Contract Maintenance has a Public Liability Insurance Cover of 5 million pounds, and an Employers Liability Cover of 10 million pounds.
Q To what extent is the staff in Total Contract Maintenance trained?
A It is part of our Mission Statement to invest and develop all staff, taking particular care and attention to their welfare. We were awarded the Investors in People Charter in March 2002 and our training programmes are updated on a monthly basis. Therefore, our training programmes are updated on a monthly basis.
Q Does TCM offer a 24-hour callout service?
A Yes. A 24-hour callout service is currently available for specialist cleaning, clinical waste removal and pest control. If any potential clients need to have a 24-hour callout system set up, we are only too happy to oblige.
Q What is TCM's response time to an emergency callout?
A TCM can normally respond within three hours of an emergency call if it has a high priority, otherwise most current clients are happy with a 24-hour response time.
Q How can Total Contract Maintenance staff be identified?
A We have a strict policy of uniform allocation, and each member of staff carries a TCM Identification Card. All vehicles are fully sign written with the company livery.
Q Can TCM staff operate in security sensitive areas?
A Total Contract Maintenance currently carries out various contracts for Police Forces and other security conscious clients, and as a consequence many members of staff are already cleared in a CTC1 level of security.
Q By what means can TCM staff be contacted?
A In normal working hours via office telephone number 7-30am - 5.30pm. Otherwise all operatives have a mobile telephone solely for work purposes.
Q Do our operatives work 365 days per year?
A Yes, for emergency purposes TCM offer cover day and night. Mobile telephone numbers can be supplied.
Q Some jobs are very delicate. Are our operatives discreet and sensitive to the clients' needs?
A Yes. Discretion is first and foremost.
